As a result of the continued development of Nottinghamshire Women’s Aid Limited we are looking to recruit the following post:
Female Refuge Support Workers
to work across both of our refuges within North Nottinghamshire. The roles will be flexible to cover the needs of both refuges.
18 hours per week
£22,221 per annum, pro rata for part time
The successful person will have an understanding of the effects of domestic abuse on women, young people and children and be committed to working in a non-discriminatory manner. You will be self motivated, flexible and able to work under pressure. You must be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. The ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information is essential as is experience of working with women, young people and children in a support setting. You will be required to work flexibly, including evening and weekend working and out of hours on a rota basis. A full driving licence and use of a car is essential.

Female Children and Young People’s Domestic Abuse Support Worker
To cover North Nottinghamshire
18.5 hours per week
£21,519 per annum, pro rata for part time
You will be required to provide individual and family support packages for children and their mothers ensuring that they have opportunities to work through their experiences of living with and leaving domestic violence and that they and their mother have access to services in the community which will promote children’s health and development, educational attendance and attainment. To deliver healthy relationship and domestic violence awareness packages within schools to educate young people and enable them to make informed choices. To deliver group work to women, children and young people affected by domestic violence. A full driving licence and use of a car is essential.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. Posts will be subject to an enhanced CRB check and open to women only. (Exempt under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1)
