As a result of the continued development of Nottinghamshire Women’s Aid Limited we are looking to recruit the following post:


Female Domestic Abuse Referral Service (DARS worker)

36 hours

£21,519 per annum, pro rata for part time

Working across North Nottinghamshire.


As DARS Worker you will be a single point of contact for all Domestic Abuse referrals from GP Practice staff. You will support survivors of domestic abuse that are identified in the Primary Care setting and act as a link between Primary Care and the MARAC process.


The successful person will have an understanding of the effects of domestic abuse on women, children and young people and be committed to working in a non-discriminatory manner.  You will be self motivated, flexible and able to work under pressure.  You must be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.  The ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information is essential as is experience of working with women, children and young people in a support setting.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. Posts will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and open to women only. (Exempt under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1)
