1 x 18.5 hour post the role will be in Mansfield
£21,842 per annum, pro rata for part time
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The role will provide specialist domestic abuse support to women who live within the Nottinghamshire Women’s Aid Ltd (NWAL) geographical boundaries and have a housing need due to domestic abuse.
The role will;
Offer interventions to survivors from the point of contact with the Housing Department, until survivor is placed in safe accommodation.
Offer emotional and practical support in regards to the impact created by domestic abuse
Risk assess, safety plan and looking at security options available, such as the Sanctuary Scheme.
Provide support and advice to Housing Staff
Develop improved pathways between services, giving better housing options for survivors and their children.
Work closely colleagues and partner agencies to ensure a co-ordinated response to women’s support needs.
Be survivor led, supporting the survivor to make their own decisions
To work within the aims, objectives and principles of Women’s Aid Federation England and ensure a high quality service is offered to women and children escaping domestic violence.
To carry out any other duties which may vary from time to time as may reasonably be required within the general level of responsibilities of the post
