Nottinghamshire Women’s Aid (registered charity number: 513843) has a responsibility to keep all of your personal information safe. This policy is aimed at young people so they are able to understand what happens to their information. When you are 13 and above you have the same rights as an adult to your information. This means you have a say in what happens to the information that we hold about you. You can have access to your information at any time, request changes to your data and you can also request for your information to be deleted at any time. We will only ever hold information about you with your consent.
We collect information about you when you are referred into the service or work with us in any capacity. We need this information to be able to provide you with the best possible service that we can.
Your information will never be passed to anyone outside our organisation unless we feel that you or another person/child is at risk of harm. In these circumstances, we have to pass on your information as part of our safeguarding policy.
We take the protection of your data very seriously. We will always restrict access to your personal information to only those people who need this information to provide you with a service. The information about you is held on our secure database and is password protected to ensure limited access and high security protection.
Nottinghamshire Women’s Aid is registered under the data protection act under the number: Z7946001. We do have a data protection officer at The Farr Centre (Farr Centre, Westgate, Worksop, S80 1LR).
