Nottinghamshire Women’s Aid Limited is a specialist commissioned domestic abuse support provider. We deliver high quality free support to women, children, young people and teenagers through North Nottinghamshire.
Nottinghamshire Women’s Aid Limited is successful due to the many different roles within the organisation.
When we have an employment opportunity, we recruit in one of two ways:
1 – Advertising through web based job sites such as Indeed. We will have current jobs on this website page and will share opportunities through our social media platforms.
You will be able to download the job packs and application form for completing through this web page.
2 – We will set up a recruitment drive, these will be advertised through this website page as well as on social media and are organised through Eventbrite.
The recruitment drive means you can:
Come and meet NWAL senior managers who will;
· Brief you on the amazing job opportunities and ethos of Nottinghamshire Womens Aid.
· Provide you with a one to one session to support you to progress to the next step, this could be interview, or possible volunteer opportunities with us.
· You do not have to fill in application form, you just have to come to this event.
We are looking for women who are interested in:
· Supporting survivors of domestic abuse within our ethos.
· Have a basic understanding and awareness of domestic abuse
· Not been in NWAL / domestic abuse support services for at least 2 years
· Able to work across North Nottinghamshire, Bassetlaw, Mansfield and Newark and Sherwood

TEMPORARY Female Domestic Abuse Support Worker until 31st Dec 2024
The successful person will provide specialist domestic abuse support to women who live within the NWAL geographical boundaries and want support. Support will be survivor led and will involve emotional and practical support in regards to the impact created by the abuse. This could include housing, financial and safeguarding needs etc. The post holder must work closely with the service user, colleagues and partner agencies to ensure a co-ordinated response to women’s support needs. In addition, the post holder will also contribute to the provision of drop-in services for women in the Districts and respond to women presenting to the service in crisis.
The post holder will also be asked to contribute to the running of the Freedom Programme across the NWAL area.
A full driving licence and use of a car is essential.

Female Medium Risk Intervention Worker
The successful person will provide a high quality support service to women experiencing medium risk domestic abuse with a focus on methods that are flexible, creative and innovative. This includes some complex case work.
They will support women experiencing medium risk domestic abuse to make long term positive and sustainable changes in their lives and recover from the harm of domestic abuse. Ensure close liaison with the Police and other agencies and services (both internal and external) to ensure holistic and joined up service delivery.
Will work to support women receiving Sanctuary measures and DVDS disclosures from the police.
A full driving licence and use of a car is essential.
